The Oklahoma Koi Society’s

8th Annual Koi Show

    September 4-5, 2004

The Oklahoma Koi Society invites you to attend its 8th Annual Koi Show to be held September 4 & 5, 2004, in the
Centennial building at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.  The show is indoors and Air Conditioned.
Our members work hard each year to improve our show and create a pleasing atmosphere to view some of the highest
quality koi in the nation. In addition to a fabulous show, visitors can see and buy products from some of the best Koi
related businesses in the U.S. and hear seminars from some of the foremost authorities on koi.

In the interest of the best conditions for the health of the koi, our show will be held in the English Style format.
The English Style segregates each owner’s koi into a separate show tank. All koi entered will receive the highest
level of care throughout the show. A standard-setting water treatment program and highly-experienced team of koi
handlers insure that the koi receive the very best care during the show.

Our Koi Judges will be Mr. Masaru Saito of the Shintaro koi farm in Japan and Alan Coogan from the UK.
Tim Waddington & Harvey Leeming of Infiltration UK will return this year to assist with the check-in and koi handling team.

Peter Waddington’s new book, “Koi2Kichi”, should be available by showtime, so check back with us or our club web site,
 http://www.oklakoi.org ,
For news on the book’s availability at the show. If the book is released as planned,
Tim Waddington will have the first copies available in the U.S. on hand.

The usual Awards Banquet has been replaced with a more informal dinner on Saturday evening at the Hilton Garden Inn.
We realize that a long awards presentation can become tedious for some after the show on Saturday night, so we invite you
to attend a more relaxed dinner with some light entertainment.

Awards will be presented Sunday morning at 11:00 in the seminar area at the show.  A Koi Auction will be held Sunday afternoon
around 1:00pm after the awards ceremony. This is a fund raising event for the club and a opportunity to buy some very nice Koi.

The show hotel will be the same as last year, The Hilton Garden Inn at 801 S. Meridian, OKC. Ph 405-942-1400. The hotel is located
¼ mile south of I-40 on Meridian blvd., on the west side of the road.  From the airport, continue North on  Meridian Blvd.
